Sharon Davenport Douglass, 91, of Idaho Falls, passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. She lived at Lincoln Court for the past two years. She was under the care of Aspen Home Health and Hospice.

Sharon was born on December 4, 1933, in Parker, Idaho, to Charles Sperry Davenport and Flora Bell Barrett Davenport. She grew up in Parker, Idaho. She was the youngest of six children, and being nine years younger than her four sisters and one brother, she was spoiled by her entire family, especially her siblings.

On October 28, 1953, she married her sweetheart, William Lewis Douglass, in the Idaho Falls Temple. After they were married, they moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho. To this union, four children were born. Sharon worked for many medical and dentistry offices as a secretary. She worked the longest for the INL at the Willow Creek Building.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her husband, Bill, was a very active outdoorsman, which allowed her to learn and love skiing, boating, and camping. Her greatest joy was time spent with her family. Being a wife, mother, and grandmother was her greatest accomplishment. She was an excellent pianist and played in church, at funerals, and at Lincoln Court up until her death.

Her family will always remember her as a loving, kind, prayerful, and generous mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her children: Patti (Doug) Cushman, Pamela (Rocky, deceased) Nichols, and Scott (Tami) Douglass all of Idaho Falls, Idaho; 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Douglass; her son, Perry Douglass; her grandsons, Christopher Marriott and Nathan Andersen; her granddaughter, Stephanie Nichols; four sisters and one brother.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Lincoln Court for the kindness and wonderful care they gave to our mother and the kindness shown to our family.

Graveside services will be held at noon, Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will visit with friends and family from 10:45-11:30 a.m., prior to the service at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.coltrinmortuary.com.
