Sharon Marie Simmons, 86, of Idaho Falls, passed away September 4, 2026, at Bingham Healthcare in Blackfoot, Idaho. She was under the care of Enhabit Home Health and Hospice.

Sharon was born November 18, 1939, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to James Elmer Cromwell and Mildred Loretta Whitney Cromwell. She grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School.

On June 21, 1957, she married Myron Kay Simmons Jr. in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Sharon and Myron made their home in Idaho Falls, where they owned Big Al’s Sandwich Shop.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved crafting, making porcelain dolls, and crocheting.

Sharon is survived by her son, Doug (Torey) Simmons of Blackfoot, ID; brother, Bob (Peggy) Cromwell of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Doyle (Bonnie) Cromwell of Ririe, ID; 5 grandchildren and 8great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Myron Kay Simmons Jr.; parents, Elmer and Millie Cromwell; and sons, Brad Simmons, and Kurt Simmons.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at Ririe-Shelton Cemetery, 12463 East 129 North, in Ririe, ID. The family will visit with friends from 10 to 10:30 a.m. prior at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue in Idaho Falls.
