Sharron Josephson
October 4th, 1939 - April 17th, 2026
Sharron LaDee Wright Josephson, 86, of Ammon, passed away April 17, 2026, at Parkwood Meadows Assisted Living Community. She was under the care of Symbii Hospice.
Sharron was born October 4, 1939, in Idaho Falls, ID, to Donald Earl Wright and Lalia Nielsen Wright. She grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and Shelley and graduated from Shelley High School. She also attended LDS Business College.
On August 23, 1957, she married Parke Elwin Josephson in the Idaho Falls Temple. Sharron and Parke made their home in Shelley, Idaho, and later moved to Idaho Falls where Sharron was a homemaker and mother of five children. She also helped her husband, Parke, at the family business, Josephson Insurance Agency.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in various callings. She loved 4-H, winning many blue ribbons, and was a pep band member. She enjoyed spending time with her family, music, piano, reading, cooking, sewing, and traveling the world. Sharron loved spending time in Island Park and being part of that community. She enjoyed being part of the Parkwood Meadows community as well. She will be remembered as a very happy, loving person, who was a friend to all.
Sharron is survived by her daughter, Debbie Funke of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Darren (Jacque) Josephson of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Susan (Gregory) Acosta of Anaheim Hills, CA; daughter, Lori (Alan) Leask of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Beverly (Marshall) Holtom of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Mary (Bryce) Fielding of Shelley, ID; brother, Gene (Carol) Wright of Shelley, ID; brother, Bill (Leann) Wright of Shelley, ID; sister, Dorene (Larry) Hansen of Rexburg, ID; sister, Janice Duce of TN; sisters-in-law, Margo (Benny) Billman of Shelley, ID, Connie (Gary) Longhurst of Shelley, ID, and Jolene (Gordon) Jenkins of Island Park, ID; 20 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; sisters, Renae Croft and Vicki Cox; and a son-in-law, Norman Funke.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the Idaho Falls South Stake Center, 2051 South Emerson Avenue. The family will visit with friends Friday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road, and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Shelley.
