Sherry Godfrey Lott

Sherry Godfrey Lott, 90, of Idaho Falls, passed away January 31, 2025, at The Gables Assisted Living Center of Idaho Falls. She was under the care of Aspen Home Health and Hospice and her loving family.

Sherry was born October 4, 1934, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Merlin Lloyd Godfrey and Ruth Garnetta Humphries Godfrey. She grew up and attended schools in Ucon and Idaho Falls.

On April 28, 1950, she married Clyde LeRoy Lott in Ucon, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple. Sherry and Clyde made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Sherry was always active in the church. She served as the Relief Society President several times as well as a counselor and temple worker. Sherry enjoyed yard work, house cleaning, and worked on the family farm.

Sherry is survived by her children, Steven Keith (Jade) Lott of Idaho Falls, ID, Randy Clyde (Diane) Lott of Idaho Falls, ID, Douglas R (John Haddad) Lott of West Valley, UT, and Dianna Ruth (Jude Stiehl) Lott of Murray, UT; sister, Carol (Junior) Ostermiller of Newdale, ID; 12 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Clyde Lott; brother, Keith Godfrey; son, Michael Roy Lott; grandson, Anthony Richard Lott and granddaughter, Christine Lott.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Funeral services will be broadcast live at www.woodfuneralhome.com. Burial will be in the Milo Cemetery.
