Steven Ronald Brower, 60, of Idaho Falls, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was under the care of Solace Hospice.

Steve was born on October 6, 1964, in Las Vegas, Nevada, to Ronne and Louise Brower. The youngest of four children and the only boy, he enjoyed a happy and sometimes mischievous childhood. In 1977, Steve’s family relocated to Idaho Falls, where he attended O.E. Bell Junior High and Skyline High School, graduating with the Class of 1982.

In 1984, Steve married Mariann Shepard. From this union, their daughter, Allison, was born in 1989. The two later divorced.

In late 1991, Steve met Elise Wirth. The two hit it off immediately and were later married in August of 1992.

During this time, Steve was also enrolled in the School of Engineering at Idaho State University, where he would earn his Bachelor of Science in Engineering in 1994. He worked very hard and was incredibly proud of all he accomplished to achieve this goal. Steve put himself through college as a paid musician, playing guitar with bands around town – namely, Syntax, with his good friends.

Shortly after graduating from college, Steve got the great opportunity to work at the INL while also continuing his time with the band. The band allowed Steve and Elise to travel to a few places while playing. Their life was always busy but filled with fun, friends, and love.

In 1995, Steve embraced an amazing opportunity to take a chance and relocate to San Diego, California, with lifelong friends and a wonderful job prospect. Steve joined the company Innova Systems in 1996, where he remained dedicated until his passing.

In 2005, after 13 years of marriage, Steve and Elise welcomed their first son, Ryan Steven. Steve loved having that little guy on his lap while watching NASCAR races and 49ers football games – Ryan quickly became Dad’s little buddy.

Two very short years later, in 2007, Steve and Elise welcomed twin boys, Sean Thomas and Adam Wayne, who just so happened to be born on their older sister Alli’s 18th birthday. The family was supposed to take her to a Padres game that day, which she still reminds them about – and lets them know they still owe her!

Later in 2007, Alli decided to see what California living was like and moved in with Dad, where the two of them became closer than ever and developed a very loving relationship. Steve continued working at Innova Systems and still played music in the band, mainly for functions at Innova. He was very happy and comfortable – he loved sitting in his office listening to music, playing video games with the boys, and hanging out with Alli. It was truly a wonderful time in his life.

In 2021, Steve, Elise, and the family decided it was time to move back home to Idaho Falls, Idaho. They relocated in June of 2021, where their boys attended Idaho Falls High School, and Dad could spend time with his four kids anytime he wanted.

Steve had many, many wonderful friends – most friendships spanning 25 years or more. He was funny and always had a witty joke ready. He was snarky in the best way, and always a good time to be around. It was nearly impossible to find a serious picture of him.

Steve is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Elise; his daughter, Alli Faust (John); his sons: Ryan, Sean, and Adam; his sister, Laurie Steed (Val) of Las Vegas, Nevada; his sister, Wendy Merrill (Bob) of Preston, Idaho; his sister, Kelly Cziep (Wil) of Idaho Falls, Idaho; and many wonderful friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ronne and Louise Brower, and both sets of grandparents.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 11, 2025, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls. The family will receive friends and family from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 10, 2025, and one hour prior to the services, both at Coltrin Mortuary. Interment will follow at Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.coltrinmortuary.com.
