Tom Ray Ard
November 28th, 1944 - August 6th, 2022
Tom Ray Ard, died at his home in Boise Aug 6, 2022 of natural causes. He was 77.
Tom was born November 28, 1944, in Clementsville, Idaho to Kenneth and Ida Humphrey Ard. He was the youngest of six children. His parents owned a dry farm in the Clementsville, Canyon Creek area where Tom grew up. His years living on the dry farm have held wonderful memories for him and great stories to tell his children and grand children. His family later moved to Rexburg, ID where Tom graduated from Madison High School. Shortly after graduation he married Rosemary Murphy they had 1 child Robyn. They were later divorced. He joined the U.S. Army and is a Vietnam War veteran. When he returned from his tour of duty he started working for his brother Gary at Gary’s Truck and Auto Repair. Tom married Marilyn Walker May 30, 1970. They had 2 children, Jennifer Dawn and Tom Jaren. They were sealed as a family in the Idaho Falls temple on May 30 1980.
They later divorced.
Tom married Jane Diane Freeman Smith and moved to Boise ID. Diane passed away in 2008.
Tom was an excellent auto mechanic and worked for his brother Gary at Gary’s Truck and Auto repair in Idaho Falls ID until he moved to Boise ID where he retired. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, riding motorcycles and dirt bikes with family and friends. He is survived by his children, Robyn Johnson of Kuna ID, Jennifer Ruano of West Jordon UT and Tom Jaren Ard of Boise ID, 6 grandchildren, and 16 great grand children.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Diane and brothers, Ted, Dee, Robert, Gary and Max Ard.
