Traci Tueller Nelson
September 4th, 1964 - July 8th, 2023
Traci Tueller Nelson, 58, of Idaho Falls, passed away July 8, 2023, surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with ALS. She was under the care of One Source Hospice.
Traci was born September 4, 1964, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Donald Brent Tueller and Martha Kaye Mickelson Tueller. She grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1982.
On May 6, 1983, she married Arlo Val Nelson in the Idaho Falls Temple. Traci and Arlo made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Traci worked as a bookkeeper for various companies before retiring from Ferrell’s clothing.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed family, traveling, and church service. She never missed the chance to support her children and grandchildren in any of their events. One of her favorite callings was serving at the Idaho Falls Temple where she made long lasting friends. She loved her family and friends dearly.
Traci is survived by her loving husband, Arlo Val Nelson of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Brianna Lee (Josh) Hagen of Yakima, WA; son, Brandon Arlo (Katelyn) Nelson of Idaho Falls, ID; father, Donald Brent Tueller of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Trudi (Phil) Simpson of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Tami (Bret) Parmer of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Todd (Susan) Tueller of Ammon, ID; sister, Tricia (Jimmie) Scrogum of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Teneal (Dana) Wright of Idaho Falls, ID; brother-in-law Brent (Kathy) Nelson of Meridian, ID; sister-in-law, Vicki (Dave) Ellis of Idaho Falls, ID; brother-in-law Randy (Jeannie) Nelson of Fairbanks, AK; brother-in-law Vance (Marilyn) Nelson of Menan, ID; brother-in-law Chris (Tina) Nelson of Swan Valley, ID; sister-in-law Karla (Steve) Hansen of Pleasant Grove, UT; brother-in-law Shane (Joni) Nelson of Bartow, FL; and 7 cherished grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Martha Kaye Tueller; and her father and mother-in-law, Guy and Valone Nelson.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, July 14, 2023, at the Sand Creek 2nd Ward, 2545 Mesa St, Idaho Falls, ID 83401, with Bishop Andy Trane officiating. The family will visit with friends Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road, and Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. prior at the church. Burial will be in the Iona Cemetery.
