Tracy Lee Holt
August 8th, 1966 - April 24th, 2026
Tracy Lee Holt, 59, of Carey, Idaho, passed away Friday, April 24, 2026, at his home.
He was born in Arco, Idaho, on August 8, 1966, to Vernon and LaNea Holt and was the youngest of three.
Tracy grew up in Mackay, and graduated from Mackay High School in 1985, and worked as a long-haul truck driver until 2002. He then moved back to Mackay and went to work as a ranch hand with Six X Ranch.
In January 2007, Tracy began his 19-year career with the State of Idaho Transportation Department. With the State, he maintained roads, served as a flagger, and drove snowplows and other heavy equipment, serving as a Lead Worker throughout his career.
Tracy loved being outdoors – hunting, camping, fishing, and riding his side-by-side in the Lost River and Wood River valleys. He was also a skilled mechanic and woodworker and enjoyed outdoor photography.
In addition to his parents, Tracy is survived by his sister Melanie Holt (Connie) of Mackay; his brother Kevin Holt (Becky) also of Mackay; and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. He is also survived by a daughter, ShiAnna and a grandson, Oliver. Tracy is fondly remembered by Bridger, McCoy, and Wrangler.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30pm on Friday, May 15, 2026, at the Mackay Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Tracy’s memory by spending some time outdoors, have a family campfire, share stories, and embrace life’s adventures – just as he did.
Arrangements are under the care of the Anderson Family Funeral Home, Arco.
