Zelene Humphries, 88, of Idaho Falls, passed away February 6, 2026, at The Gables of Pocatello surrounded by her loving family. She was under the care of Heritage Hospice.

Zelene was born April 1, 1937, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Frank Eldridge Miskin and Zonda Harris Miskin. She grew up and attended schools in Fairview, Coltman, and Ucon.

On November 18, 1954, she married Jerry W Humphries in the Idaho Falls Temple. Zelene and Jerry started their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings. She enjoyed sewing, embroidery, crafts, tole painting and reading. She was very famous for her work as an instructor at Tro’s Bernina, Gary’s Bernina, and Bernina’s Best. You probably knew her from the way she helped you fall in love with sewing, when she invited you into her home and offered you homemade chocolates. Either way, you knew she cared and loved you. They moved to Pocatello, Boise, and South Jordan, Utah, before retiring back to the Grant area.

Zelene is survived by her daughter, Cindy (David) Stucki of Grant, ID; son, Jerry Kim Humphries of Ammon, ID; daughter, Julie “Lynn” Hitchcock of Chubbuck, ID; brother, Koy (Martha) Miskin of Lugoff, SC; brother, Val (Wendy) Miskin of Pullman, WA; brother, Nile (Faye) Miskin of Idaho Falls, ID; nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brothers, Vernal Fowler and Marlyn Miskin.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 14, 2026, at the Grant 2nd Ward, 3431 East 100 North. The family will visit with friends Friday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, and Saturday 10-10:45 a.m. prior to service at the church. Burial will be in the Central Cemetery in Grant.

Condolences may be sent to the family at www.woodfuneralhome.com.
