Tulsa Defeats UCF in Overtime, 33-27, Wins Conference USA Title

Brett Deering/Getty Images(TULSA, Okla.) -- Alex Singleton jumped into the end zone from one-yard back to beat UCF  33-27 in overtime and give Tulsa its first Conference USA title in school history.

Singleton ran for 100 yards and two touchdowns in the victory.  Tulsa (10-3) will be headed to their first Liberty Bowl since 2005.

''My first championship ever,'' Singleton said. ''I'm still ecstatic about it. I really can't even explain it right now. It just feels so good.''

With the tough loss, the Golden Knights (9-4) will now play in the Beef 'O' Brady's Bowl.

''It's very disappointing, to come that far, have it down in overtime, miss the field goal and have them score a touchdown,” UCF running back Latavius Murray said.
