(BOSTON) — Former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez will be arraigned on Friday in connection with the murder of his friend Odin Lloyd.
Two weeks ago, Hernandez, 23, was charged with first-degree murder and weapons violations in connection with the shooting death of Lloyd, a semi-pro football player and landscaper who frequently partied with the former NFL player.
Lloyd, 27, was allegedly shot five times execution-style on June 17 less than a mile from Hernandez’s North Attleboro, Mass., home.
Hernandez is expected to plead not guilty to killing Lloyd. He is being held without bail at the Bristol County House of Correction.
