Two Arrests in New York City Cartier Heist
Published at(NEW YORK) — Two people have been arrested a day after thieves made off with more than $700,000 worth of merchandise from the Cartier jewelry store on New York City’s prestigious Fifth Avenue.
New York Police Commissioner William Bratton announced the arrests Friday, and said he expects additional arrests to be made.
Five men in masks stormed into Cartier’s flagship location around 12:30 p.m. Thursday, smashed glass display cases with hammers, and grabbed 16 watches worth more than $700,000.
