(STANLEY, ID) – The Hell Roaring Fire south of Stanley is more than 60 percent contained. The fire, which started Friday, grew to more than 320 acres Sunday morning. An estimated 170 firefighters have been brought in to help battle the blaze, which is consuming dead and downed trees in an area that is prone to frequent and often massive wildfires. Most trails in the Sawtooth National Recreation Area near the fire remain open to the public.
