West Nile Found in Fort Hall

(FORT HALL, ID) – West Nile Virus has been reported on the Fort Hall Indian Reservation. The Idaho State Journal reports that a previous test had located the virus in Bingham County.
Tribal officials are monitoring wetlands around the Snake River for dead and sick animals, and are reducing water flows in canals and ditches.
Authorities are advising residents to fix any broken window screens, remove standing water from their property, and to use effective mosquito repellants to ward off the risk of human infections.
