Have a Tech Savvy Shopping Season

iStock/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) — Tech savvy people have a pretty good idea of what they want and how they’re going to get presents for others for Christmas.
CNet polled 1,433 readers and more than 75 percent plan to buy over 50 percent of their gifts online. Meanwhile, seven in 10 won’t think twice about doing their shopping while on the job.
More than 40 percent of the CNet respondents say they want to get a tablet this year while 30 percent plan on giving one.
As for how much they’ll spend, $710 is about the average with the typical list about eight people long.
And while they’re shopping, nearly two-thirds of shoppers plan on picking up a little something for themselves.
One other important point: 53 percent of CNet readers also think it’d be cool to have a holiday purchase delivered by a drone.
