Trucker found dead in semi at Sam’s Club

IDAHO FALLS — An Wisconsin man was found dead in a semi-truck at the Idaho Falls Sam’s Club on Tuesday, Sept. 29.

Idaho Falls Police report David W. Fadness, 57, appears to have died of natural causes sometime after 4 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 27. He was last seen making a delivery to Sam’s Club on Sunday morning.

Idaho Falls Crime Stoppers shared a Missing Truck Driver Alert about Fadness on its Facebook page Tuesday morning.

Fadness was found in the truck’s cab, along with a dog who was still alive. The dog has been put into the custody of the animal control officers, IFPD spokeswoman Joelyn Hansen said.

Police do not suspect foul play, but an autopsy has been scheduled to determine the cause of death.
