Lamakers Bet on Dodgers-Mets Playoff Series

Cpt212/iStock/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) — House Democrats and best buds Reps. Steve Israel of New York and Adam Schiff of California are making a bet on the Dodgers – Mets series.
The teams are set to face off in the National League Division series.
Schiff, who represents Hollywood, is betting gourmet popcorn from Pauline’s Premier Sweets in Burbank, California. Israel, from Long Island, will wager New York bagels “flown in fresh.”
The winner gets the food. The loser will wear a tie of the winner’s team, and deliver a one-minute speech on the House floor “extolling the virtues” of the winning team.
