Large crowd expected at Bernie Sanders rally today

IDAHO FALLS — Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders will be visiting east Idaho this morning and thousands of people are expected to attend his rally.

Sanders will speak in the Skyline High School Auxiliary Gym around 11:30 a.m. Doors opened at 8:30 a.m. but folks began lining up before 5:30 a.m.

Sanders is expected to discuss a wide range of issues, including his plan to make public colleges and universities tuition-free, combating climate change and ensuring universal health care.

This event is free and open to the public. Tickets are not required, but RSVPs are strongly encouraged.

Sanders visit comes a just days before the Idaho Democratic caucus, which will be held March 22. Following his Idaho Falls event, Sanders will hold a rally in Utah.
