ROBERTS — Family and friends are mourning the loss of a 15-year-old girl killed in a rollover crash Monday afternoon.

Charity Dunkley was homeschooled and lived with her mother in the Roberts area, according to family members.

“It’s definitely one of the hardest things I’ve had happen,” a family member tells EastIdahoNews.com. “But everyone is sticking together through all of it.”

Emergency crews from several jurisdictions were dispatched to the one vehicle crash at 2350 East 600 North near Roberts around 3:40 p.m.

“When we arrived on scene all four occupants appeared to have been ejected from the vehicle,” Roberts Fire Assistance Cheif Ethan Harkness says. “We had EMTs working on the two critical patients and we provided life-saving efforts for the one female until her care was handed over to Life Flight personnel.”

Three of the victims, two males and a female, were taken by ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Charity was transported by air ambulance to EIRMC where she died.

The cause of the accident is currently being investigated by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
