Rams Bulldoze Broncos 22-7

Leon Halip/Getty Images(ST. LOUIS) -- Kenny Britt hauled in four catches for 128 yards and a touchdown to help the St. Louis Rams upset the Denver Broncos 22-7 Sunday.Shaun Hill returned to the field to complete 20 of 29 passes for 220 yards and a touchdown in his first start for the Rams (4-6) since Week 1."It's a constant process to stay up, especially as a backup, it's tough," Hill said. "But it's something you've got to do."Greg Zuerlein kicked five field goals, including two from over 50 yards, and the Rams' defense picked off Peyton Manning twice as the Broncos lose for only the third time this season."We didn't execute very well and I just think I didn't play very well," Manning said. "No excuses. I have to play better and we have to score more points than seven."Denver (7-3) attempted to get into the game before halftime when Manning threw a 42-yard touchdown to Emmanuel Sanders, moving the Broncos within 6 points. That was the last time Manning would find the end zone, as his streak of 15 consecutive games with at least two touchdown passes was snapped.Denver did have some unfortunate luck as well. The Broncos lost Julius Thomas (ankle), Montee Ball (groin) and Sanders (concussion) to injuries.Rams running back Tre Mason had 29 carries for 113 yards in the win.

Peyton Manning: It Won’t Be Easy in St. Louis

Peyton Manning: It Won’t Be Easy in St. Louis

Justin Edmonds/Getty Images(DENVER) -- The Denver Broncos will travel to St. Louis on Sunday to take on the Rams.

Quarterback Peyton Manning is well aware of the Rams defense.

"Their front has been active all season long in my opinion," Manning said. "They got really good players, a lot of first round draft choices. That's where it starts for any defense, we've got to be able to control those guys somehow and that falls on everybody."

Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders realizes that the Rams are hot right now.

"You can't take these guys lightly. Their last three games they faced San Francisco, Seattle, Arizona, and they played those guys really well," Sanders said. "This is a good football team that we're facing with a great defensive line and we're playing them at home, we definitely have to bring our A-game."

Denver comes into the game at 7-2 and is 2-2 on the road this year.

The Rams (3-6) announced this week that Shaun Hill will be the starting quarterback.

Manning Tosses Five TDs, Broncos Stomp Raiders

Manning Tosses Five TDs, Broncos Stomp Raiders

Justin Edmonds/Getty Images(OAKLAND, Calif.) -- After a disappointing loss to New England last week, the Denver Broncos righted the ship with a 41-17 trouncing over the Oakland Raiders on Sunday. Peyton Manning tossed five touchdowns for the Broncos (7-2) while the defense held Oakland (0-9) to less than 250 total yards of offense.

The game did not start off that well for Manning and the Broncos. A pair of early interceptions saw Denver trailing 10-6 with 11 minutes to play in the second quarter. That all changed when C.J. Anderson caught a screen pass and scampered 51 yards for a touchdown, giving Denver a 13-10 advantage.

That scoring play started a string of five touchdown passes on five possessions for Manning, turning a brief upset scare into another rout. The Raiders were held scoreless for almost the entire second half, scoring a garbage touchdown with less than a minute remaining in regulation.

It was the ninth time in Manning's career that he threw for at least five touchdowns, breaking a tie with Drew Brees for the most in NFL history. The 38-year-old also extended his own league mark of most consecutive games with at least two touchdown passes to 15 games. Both Julius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders each caught a pair of touchdowns in the win.

Derek Carr threw two touchdowns in the loss, but also threw a pair of interceptions.

Brady Gets Best of Manning Again

Jim Rogash/Getty Images(FOXBOROUGH, Mass.) -- Tom Brady is now 11-5 against Peyton Manning after the Patriots (7-2) blew out the Broncos (6-2) 43-21 on Sunday.

Brady was 33 for 53 with 333 yards and four touchdown passes in the rout.

"He has always set a real high bar for how to play and I have tried to do the same through my efforts with my team," Brady said. "The only thing I really care about is the respect from my team, going out there and trying to earn it. "

Manning threw for 438 yards with two interceptions and two touchdown passes in the loss.

"Well, I don't usually stink, but I stunk today," Manning said. "I don't make any excuses."

Julian Edelman had an 84-yard punt return for a touchdown, and Brady's touchdown pass to Brandon LaFell put New England up 36-14 before halftime.

"Minitron can do so many things, he's so quick," Brady said of Edelman. "What he did on the punt return was incredible."

The Patriots now own the best record in the AFC.

Manning Surpasses Favre in Broncos Victory

Manning Surpasses Favre in Broncos Victory

Justin Edmonds/Getty Images(DENVER) -- Once again, Peyton Manning finds himself in the record books. The Denver Broncos quarterback threw four touchdowns in Sunday night's 42-17 win over San Francisco, giving him 510 career touchdown passes and surpassing Brett Favre's NFL record of 508.

"It is quite an honor," Manning said. "I do have great appreciation for quarterbacks who played this game throughout the years. It's very humbling, has taken a lot of hard work, a lot of people helped me get to this point."

The record-breaking pass came late in the second quarter on an eight-yard strike to Demaryius Thomas that put the Broncos (5-1) up 21-3 over the 49ers (4-3). Upon setting the mark, Manning's teammates had a little fun with the 38-year old, playing keep-away with the momento before eventually congratulating their quarterback.

"I can't believe they actually did it," chided Manning. "They sort of joked about it during the week. I'm a little bit hurt by it. The fact that they thought they could do it."

It took just 246 career games for Manning to break the record set by Favre in 302 career games. The 16-year veteran has thrown 110 touchdown passes in his two-plus years with the Broncos, whom he signed with in 2012 following neck surgery that threatened his career.

Seahawks Win Super Bowl Rematch in Overtime

Seahawks Win Super Bowl Rematch in Overtime

Jay Drowns/Getty Images(SEATTLE) -- Marshawn Lynch scored on a six-yard touchdown run on the first drive in overtime, giving the Seattle Seahawks a 26-20 win over Denver in a rematch of Super Bowl 48.

Lynch capped off an 80-yard drive that denied the Broncos (2-1) a comeback win over the team that beat them for the championship in February.

Peyton Manning led a furious fourth quarter rally, erasing a 14-point deficit with a game-tying touchdown pass to Jacob Tamme with 18 seconds remaining in regulation. A successful two-point conversion knotted the game at 20-20, sending the contest into overtime.

However, Seattle (2-1) ensured a win as Russell Wilson led the team down the field on the opening possession of overtime. Wilson finished the game with 258 passing yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 40 yards.

The Seahawks led 17-3 at halftime as Wilson connected with both Ricardo Lockette and Lynch on touchdown passes in the first half to take the early lead. Lynch was later tackled in the end zone for a safety, sparking the Broncos comeback.

Manning's day ended with 303 passing yards and two touchdowns but also threw a pick in the fourth quarter.

Dustin Bradford/Getty Images(ENGLEWOOD, Colo.) -- The Broncos are happy to have Wes Welker back on the field after the new NFL drug policy deal was announced on Wednesday.

"It feels great, it feels great,'' Welker said. " ... You really realize how much you miss it.''

Welker continued, "It seemed like every other day, I was kind of going back and forth about whether I was coming back or not.''

Quarterback Peyton Manning is among the players welcoming back Welker on the field. "Good to have Wes back,'' he said. "Guys were excited when he walked in the offensive meeting this morning...I know he's been excited to get back out here.''
