Ann Romney’s Plane Forced to Make Emergency Landing
Published at(DENVER) — A plane carrying Ann Romney, the wife of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, was forced to make an emergency landing in Denver on Friday after the aircraft’s cabin filled with smoke from an apparent electrical fire.
Mrs. Romney was not harmed in the incident, spokeswoman Sarah Haley confirms.
The flight was en route from Omaha, Neb., where Mrs. Romney had attended fundraisers this afternoon to Los Angeles.
Haley said the plane was surrounded by fire trucks when it landed.
