(CHUBBUCK, ID) – A Chubbuck man may be forced to move his dog out of the city after authorities officially declared the animal as “vicious.” Police say the female pit bull/terrier mix attacked a 3-year-old girl March 16 and traumatized six other children who were with her at the time. The dog was not tied up or behind a fence when the attack happened. City officials rarely hold vicious dog hearings, but they say the severity of the attack and the possibility of another incident warranted legal action. The owner also has the options to appeal the decision, abide by strict requirements to keep the dog in city limits, or euthanize it.
