Louisville Guard Kevin Ware to Transfer
Published at(NEW YORK) — After a roller coaster career with the Louisville Cardinals, guard Kevin Ware has decided to transfer and leave the school to finish out his collegiate basketball career.
Nearly a year ago, Ware gained national attention when he suffered a gruesome broken leg against Duke in the NCCA Tournament.
The team rallied around Ware and becaem a source of inspiration for hte Cardinals as they marched onto the NCAA Championship.
Ware returned to the court Nov. 6 against the University of Pikeville, and scored five points in 13 minutes against Cornell back on Nov. 15 in his regular-season debut.
He wound up injuring his leg again back in December and decided to sit out the rest of the season so he could be able to see a medical redshirt.
Ware wound up averaging 1.7 points per game this season. ESPN.com is reporting that Ware is hoping to transerto a school in Georgia.
