(12) Mississippi State Upsets (6) Texas A&M, 48-31

Getty S 083112 %20Big%20East%20Football?  SQUARESPACE CACHEVERSION=1412462546065Streeter Lecka/Getty Images(STARKVILLE, Miss.) — Mississippi State quarterback Dak Prescott has officially thrown his name in the Heisman race after his teams’ upset win over sixth ranked Texas A&M on Saturday.

The Bulldogs improved to 5-0 on the season, including a 2-0 in the SEC.

“A Mississippi State-ment,” Prescott said.

Prescott ended the game completing 19 of 25 passes for 259 yards while also throwing two touchdowns and no interceptions. He also did plenty of damage on the ground as he ran for 77 yards on 23 carries while scoring three touchdowns.

“He’s going to get a lot more attention now with his performance,” Bulldogs coach Dan Mullen said. “But as I’ve told everyone, that’s what we expect from him.”

Mississippi State has beaten two top-10 teams in the same season, the first time in school history.

Bulldogs running back Josh Robinson also had a big game on Saturday as he ran for 107 yards on 17 carries whle socring two touchdowns.

Meanwhile this is a big blow to an Aggies team that was attempting to make it to the Final Four in the National Championship race.

“They just beat us,” Texas A&M quarterback Kenny Hill said. “They had a great game plan and just stomped us. Credit them.”

Hill had an up-and-down game as he completed 37 of 62 passes for 365 yards, four touchdowns, and three interceptions.
