Rusty Sellner, 22, has pleaded not guilty to those charges. Prosecutors say that Sellner broke into Cyrus’ home on Dec. 16, 2014, and stole personal property owned by Cyrus and her brother.
The complaint filed by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office also notes that Sellner has two prior convictions for burglary and evading arrest. He could face up to seven years and eight months in prison if convicted.
