Five Killed, Two Injured in Georgia Shooting
Published at(DOUGLASVILLE, Ga.) — Five people were killed and two more injured in a shooting in Douglasville, Ga. on Saturday evening.
Douglas County Sheriff’s Department Chief Deputy Stan Copeland told ABC News that in his 38 years with the department, he had “never seen this many victims in one shooting.” He called the scene “gruesome,” adding that “there were victims in the street…there was blood everywhere.”
Copeland said that the shooter was one of the victims at the hospital. The ages of those killed in the shooting “range from seven to adult,” Chief Lieutenant Glenn Daniel said.
The shooter’s motive was not immediately clear.
