According to the NJHD, the one-year-old baby was not vaccinated, as the first vaccination for measles is not given until between the ages of 12 and 15 months. The baby has since recovered, health officials say.

“Out of an abundance of caution, residents in the building where the baby lives were notified of a potential measles exposure,” according to a statement. The final day on which residents could become ill due to exposure would be Feb. 7, the NJHD notes.

Earlier Thursday, officials announced five cases of measles at an Illinois daycare center.
