Rand Paul Is Making No Secret of Big 2016 Announcement

US Congress(WASHINGTON) — Sen. Rand Paul posted a series of tweets Wednesday night that weren’t very secretive about a big announcement he’s planning to make next Tuesday.
The tweets link to a post signed by Paul on the Rand Paul Victory Committee website, soliciting donations to support Paul’s all-but-announced presidential campaign.
In the post, Paul announces plans to launch on April 7 what he calls the “Stand with Rand Money Bomb.”
“They look ahead to November 2016 and predict a showdown between two candidates with yesterday’s last names pushing yesterday’s failed Big Government policies,” Paul writes. “But if my travels to Iowa, New Hampshire and elsewhere over the past several weeks are any indication, I believe our media couldn’t be more wrong.”
Paul is expected to formally announce his bid for the White House at an event in Louisville, Kentucky, next Tuesday, kicking off a 5-day “Stand With Rand” tour that will take him through several key battleground states, including Iowa and New Hampshire.
