Yes, but how best to convince the boss that such an acquisition, which can be expensive, will be beneficial for both the company and your health.

Brigham Young University science professor James LeCheminant and neuroscientist Michael Larson have done all the hard work for you, at least in terms of giving your supervisor some sound reasons as to why a treadmill desk can help improve things at the office.

After conducting a series of experiments, LeCheminant and Larson say that there’s very little difference in how well people perform cognitive tasks on a treadmill as compared to sitting down.

On the very slight downside, which they claim isn’t all that significant, processing and typing speeds showed a small decrease while people are walking and working.

The researchers also noted that when participants in the study had to really concentrate on a particular task, they’d simply step off the treadmill.

Oh, and don’t forget about the benefits of staying on your feet with so many studies these days reminding you why a lot of sitting can ruin good health.
