What Did Michelle Obama Say When Little Girl Asked ‘How Old Are You?’
Published at(WASHINGTON) — It’s the one question you’re told never to ask a woman. But that didn’t stop a little girl at the White House on Wednesday from asking first lady Michelle Obama “how old are you?”
“How old are you?” Mrs. Obama bemoaned.
“I’m 51,” the first lady confidently told the crowd of children in the East Room during her annual question and answer session as part of Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day.
But then, the girl made some inaudible reaction.
“What? What does that mean? What’s that look?” Mrs. Obama asked the young questioner.
“Say that again? Give her the mic,” Mrs. Obama said, motioning to a member of her staff. “What was that, babe, I didn’t hear you?”
“You look too young for a 51-year-old,” the girl said, much to the first lady’s delight.
“Thank you!” Mrs. Obama exclaimed. “You should come up here and give me a hug…Come give me a hug for that one.”
The little girl, in a pink and white dress, threw her arms open as she ran up to the stage and embraced the first lady.
