Years after the Great Recession wreaked havoc on the economy, young adults say they’re feeling better about their job security and finances, according to a Bankrate.com survey of 1,000 adults in the U.S.

For instance, 32 percent of employed millennials now claim to have more job security than one year ago with just four percent complaining about feeling less secure at work.

Another important step in the right direction: three in ten employed millennials say their savings are in better shape than a year ago at this time. Just 15 percent believe their savings are in worse shape.

In fact, those in the 18-34 age group are more optimistic about their financial situation than any other demographic.

What could be better, however, is their net worth since young adults are still playing catch-up when it comes to investing in the stock and housing markets.
