Boston attempted to trade Bradley to the Seattle Mariners during spring training in exchange for left-handed reliever Charlie Furbush, according to ESPN Boston’s Gordon Edes. The Mariners turned down the offer.

The 25-year-old outfielder was once the top prospect in the Red Sox farm system, but has been largely invisible at the plate in his various stints in the majors.

Bradley has struggled to adjust to major league off-speed pitches and sports a .193 batting average over 168 games with Boston.

Furbush currently boasts a 1.80 ERA across 17 appearances this season with a 7/3 strikeout to walk ratio.
