IDAHO FALLS — A Terreton man is behind bars after police say he robbed a man at gunpoint last month.

Antonio Beare, 29, was arrested and booked into the Bonneville County Jail for armed robbery, according to a police news release.

Police say the incident happened at around 2:00 a.m. Jan. 24 on the 1400 block of East 17th Street.

A passenger was sitting with three other people in a truck when, according to detectives, a man pointed a gun at him and demanded his wallet.

A truck matching the description of the one used in the robbery was found later that morning on the 1900 block of Channing Way. Police say Beare was the driver.

Detectives obtained surveillance video from Perkins on Channing Way showing Beare going through a wallet shortly after the robbery occurred. Police say Beare took $100 from the wallet before throwing it in the trash where it was later found by a recycling company.

Investigators say they’re still working on identifying a second man involved in the robbery.
