IDAHO FALLS — The driver of an SUV was arrested after he drove through an Idaho Falls intersection at a high speed and struck a pole on Wednesday.

Zachary D. Bradley, 25, was driving with three children in vehicle when he struck the pole near Snake River Parkway and Sunnyside Road around 4 p.m.

Witnesses reported seeing a 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer, driven by Bradley, traveling south on Snake River Parkway at about 85 miles per hour. Witnesses told police Bradley then sped up even more before leaving the roadway and striking a pole.

The children in the vehicle included two 15‐year‐old and one 5‐year‐old child.

“Bradley was transported to (Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center) by a police officer,” Idaho Falls police spokeswoman Joelyn Hansen told EastIdahoNews.com. “The passengers were checked out by paramedics on scene.”

Police said the passengers were wearing their seat belts.

Bradley was determined to be driving under the influence. He was booked into the Bonneville County Jail for felony injury to a child and misdemeanor driving under the influence.

The Idaho Falls man was being held with no bond as of Thursday morning.
