Investigators: Ammon homicide victim is female, FBI now involved in investigation

The following is an update from the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office. Video is from a Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office news conference held July 3.

AMMON — With regards to the continuing death investigation that was discovered July 2 on Ross Ave. in Ammon, the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office has determined that this event is a homicide.

The autopsy of the deceased victim is still continuing but we are able to confirm the victim is female and we believe it to be Lisa Stukey. However, we are awaiting positive confirmation of her identity.

As this process continues, the Sheriff’s Office has enlisted the assistance of the FBI, the Idaho State Police, Bonneville and Ada County Coroner’s Offices, and other agencies to help in examination and processing of evidence from the scene and victim. Detectives have been in the process of interviewing several people who have knowledge of Lisa Stukey and are working several different leads that have come in since this case was started.

At this time the Sheriff’s Office will not be releasing any further details relating to this homicide investigation and we ask that anyone with knowledge or information about Lisa Stukey or her residence contact Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office Detectives through dispatch at (208) 529-1200.
