REXBURG — Larry Ricks has been cutting hair for 33 years.

Throughout his time in the Rexburg community, Ricks has had five barber shops, recently moving out of his last shop on College Avenue where he spent 17 years.

His new location is at 50 North Second East near Papa Murphy’s. He’s met thousands of people who’ve come through the doors of his different shops.

EastIdahoNews.com recently sat down with Larry to discuss the things he’s seen from behind the chair. Ricks says that’s his favorite part about being a barber, getting to know people. He’s cut the hair of Brigham Young University-Idaho presidents, local farmers and even a bank robber.

He’s seen Rexburg change over the years but he hopes to continue doing what he loves, cutting hair.
