MERIDIAN — One of eastern Idaho’s beloved ice cream shops is expanding to the west.
Reed’s Dairy is opening a new a new location in Meridian at 1735 W. Chinden Blvd.
“We moved into the Treasure Valley because a growing number of people here prefer wholesome, farm-fresh products and really like to know where their food comes from,” said Reed’s Dairy president Alan Reed. “Almost weekly we have a dozen people from the Treasure Valley stop in at one of our Idaho Falls stores and beg us to open an ice cream shop in Boise.”
Along with its 24 different flavors of ice cream and other dairy products, the Meridian store will serve its signature tomato-basil soup, grilled cheese and ham-and-cheese sandwiches.
Reed’s dairy has also expanded its home delivery service to the Treasure Valley area.
Available for delivery are dairy products along with produce, baked goods, farm-fresh eggs, meat and much more.
“It’s like a farmer’s market on wheels that delivers to your doorstep,” Reed said.
