IDAHO FALLS — Power is being restored for hundreds of customers who lost electricity due to severe winds Monday but a high wind warning remains in effect for eastern Idaho until 7 p.m.

Some trees fell on power lines, causing many of the outages, and other trees were ripped from the ground and blown over. Garbage cans, grills, fences and other items were damaged because of the high winds.
