Man killed, woman hospitalized after crash near McCammon

The following is a news release from Idaho State Police.

MCCAMMON — On Jan. 21, at approximately 10 a.m., the Idaho State Police responded to a fatality crash eastbound US 30 at milepost 361 in McCammon.

Taylor Kollmann, 18, of Pocatello, was traveling westbound on US 30 in a 2000 Ford Explorer. H. William Landfair, 74, of Georgetown, was traveling eastbound in a 2014 Dodge Caravan. Kollmann lost control of her vehicle on the snow-covered roadway, causing her to cross the center of the roadway where she collided with Landfair head-on.

Landfair succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Next of kin has been notified.

Kollmann was transported by ground ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center. All drivers were wearing their seatbelts.

Both eastbound lanes of travel were blocked for approximately 3 hours.
