Police searching for 3 people after man is shot

CHUBBUCK — A man was rushed to the hospital early Thursday morning after being shot and police are asking the public for help in finding three people who may have information about the incident.

Chubbuck Police officers received a 911 call around midnight from a man on the 4600 block of Ponderosa Street who told them he had been shot, according to a news release. The man was taken to Portneuf Medical Center by ambulance. His condition has not been released.

Detectives say they are following up on several leads and are looking for two women and a man who might have details related to the shooting:

  • Kane Simons – age 20, 6’6”, 200 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He is believed to be armed and dangerous.
  • Day Witt – age 19, 5’5”, 120 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
  • Alana Heyrend – age 19, 5’7”, 190 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. Heyrend is known to operate a yellow 2001 Ford Focus with Idaho license plate 1BAT241.

Police do not know if the individuals are together.
