Semi slides off road in Bingham County

IDAHO FALLS — Idaho State Police are investigating a semi crash on Idaho Highway 39 near Rockford.
The crash occurred at around 9 p.m. Monday at milepost 45.
Police reports show Derrell E. Love, 54, of Las Vegas, Nevada, was driving a 2017 Freightliner southbound on ID-39 when he lost control on icy roads. The cab of the Freightliner went off the left shoulder and the empty trailer blocked both lanes of travel on the highway.
Love was not injured and the lanes were blocked for about 2.5 hours.
