The following is a news release from the Idaho State Police.

On May 15, 2019, at approximately 8:30 a.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a crash south of North Main Street and Garrett Way, which is also U.S. 30, in Pocatello.

Bryan Williams, age 36, of Grace was driving southbound on North Main Street in an International truck hauling an excavator on a trailer. As Williams drove under a railroad bridge, the boom from the excavator struck the bridge and a gas pipeline that runs alongside it.

The right lane of eastbound travel was briefly blocked while the bridge and pipeline were inspected. The investigation is ongoing.
