Flash fire injures man in Idaho Falls
Published atIDAHO FALLS — A man received minor injuries after a flash fire broke out at a home in Idaho Falls Friday afternoon.
The Idaho Falls Fire Department was called to the house on the 400 block of Ruth Street around 1 p.m. By the time firefighters arrived, the flames were out and they learned a “flash fire” had injured a man, Idaho Falls Fire Department spokeswoman Kerry Hammon said.
A flash fire is when a substance quickly ignites then dissipates. Often flash fires can ignite from fuel vapors or other flammable items.
The man was working on a home improvement project inside the home when the flash fire happened.
He sustained minor injuries and was taken to receive medical care in a personal vehicle.
