Firefighters from 3 departments battle sulphuric fire

ST. ANTHONY — Crews from three different departments spent Monday morning battling a sulphuric fire at Simplot Grower Solutions.

It started around 8:15 a.m. inside a sulfur storage facility at 2555 South Yellowstone Highway, according to South Fremont Fire Department Assistant Chief David Fausett.

South Fremont, North Fremont and Madison Fire Departments responded to the fire and used foam to help control flames. Nearly 30 firefighters were on the scene and the blaze out by 10:30 a.m.

Nobody was injured and investigators are working to determine what caused the fire.
