How rain is affecting the Eastern Idaho State Fair Monday, including the cancelation of one event

The Eastern Idaho State Fair has released the following announcement:
Due to continuous rain throughout the night, the Pari-Mutuel Horse Racing event scheduled for Monday, Sept. 4, at the Eastern Idaho State Fair has been canceled. An update on the status of the Indian Relay races will be provided at 10 a.m. today after an evaluation of the race track.
Later in the week, the National Indian Relay Championship Races are expected to continue on Thursday, Sept. 7, while Pari-Mutuel Horse Racing and Indian relays will again resume a full day of racing on Friday, Sept. 8, and Saturday, Sept. 9.
Tonight marks the start of the Gem State Classic Pro Rodeo, which will take place for three consecutive nights beginning at 7:30 p.m. Buildings and concessionaires open today at 10 a.m. Watch our Facebook page for any additional updates to the Fair schedule.
