Brazilian music star Nicole Luz answers 7 Questions with Emmy

  Published at

Every week I’m interviewing fascinating people in our community, nation and around the world.

Nicole Luz is a singer who appeared on Brazil’s version of “American Idol” called “Idols Kids” when she was nine and the first season of the reality show “The Voice Kids” at age 14.

In 2016, after being eliminated from “The Voice Kids,” Nicole was selected to participate in an international talent competition called iPOP! The competition, with 500 youth from 80 countries, took place in Los Angeles and she won first runner-up as the best singer in the “teen” category.

Nicole was recently in Utah at RootsTech and I had a chance to ask her 7 questions:

  • When did you first get interested in music?
  • What was it like performing on those big television shows in Brazil?
  • Have you ever had stage fright and what do you do to calm your fears?
  • When you aren’t performing, what do you like to do with your time?
  • If you could sing with anyone in the world, who would you choose?
  • What have you learned during your music career?
  • Could you share a piece of advice with me?
