Rexburg Police Department Assistant Chief Gary Hagen told EastIdahoNews.com that the Madison County Coroner’s Office has ruled Herlindo Aguilar-Salgodo died due to “exposure to excessive natural cold-hypothermia.”

Hagen added that he was found by officers in a field a short distance from his home in Rexburg on Dec. 9.

The police department had been looking for Aguilar-Salgodo last month. He was last seen on Nov. 30 in Rexburg, walking on North 2nd East by McDonald’s, police said. He was in his 90s.
