BLACKFOOT — The Blackfoot community is mourning the loss of Chase Adams, a cherished father, friend, and community member, who passed away following a tragic accident on the evening of Tuesday, May 20.

For the past 14 years, Adams served as manager at Power Lube in Blackfoot, bringing excellent service, leadership, warmth, and reliability to the workplace.

Tyler Lindsay, co-owner of Power Lube, said the business was closed on Wednesday to allow the crew time to grieve and process the loss. Power Lube is back open, but will close for the funeral service on May 27.

Adams was widely known and deeply respected for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering dedication to his family and community.

Hundreds of expressions of grief and remembrance have poured in from across the region on social media and directly to the family and the staff of Power Lube.

“I knew Chase was a great guy, but the outpouring of love and support from the community shows how deeply loved and respected he was by everyone,” said Lindsay. “It’s been overwhelming.”

His sudden passing has left a profound void in the hearts of many. One friend summed it up, saying, “Chase was one of a kind… a well-known and respected member of our little town in Idaho.”

In honor of his memory and to assist the Adams family, a GoFundMe and a Meal Train have been set up to support funeral expenses and provide ongoing help for the family as they navigate this profound loss.

He is preceded in death by his father, Dennis Adams; brother Stacy Dean Adams; grandparents Dean and LaRue Adams, and John Arvard and June Grimmett.

The Adams family and the team at Power Lube are grateful for the outpouring of love and compassion they’ve received. Every act of support, no matter how small, is a powerful tribute to the legacy Adams leaves behind.
