IDAHO FALLS — Many phones across the City of Idaho Falls departments are unavailable as technicians work to resolve the outage.

According to a Facebook post from the City of Idaho Falls, as of Tuesday night, desk phones across the city departments are unable to receive incoming calls.

Our team is working with the phone service provider to identify and resolve the issue as quickly as possible,” the post says. “In the meantime, residents are encouraged to reach departments by email.”

A list of department emails can be found on the City of Idaho Falls website under each department page.

This issue does not affect emergency lines, including 911 or the non-emergency line at (208) 529-1200.

EastIdahoNews.com will update when the phone system outage has been solved.
