The following is a news release from Idaho State Police.

BUTTE COUNTY — Idaho State Police responded to a single vehicle semi-truck crash on Sunday at approximately 2:45 p.m. at milepost 6 on State Highway 33, near Butte City.

A Western Star Auto Car hauling a single trailer, driven by a 48-year-old male from Twin Falls, was traveling eastbound on State Highway 33 near milepost 6. The Western Star lost control, causing it to tip onto its side.

The driver sustained minor injuries and was attended to on scene. He was wearing a seatbelt.

Eastbound lanes were blocked for approximately eight hours as crews worked to remove debris in the roadway.

This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
